We are looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Austin office. The successful candidate will assist in the accurate and timely production of financial reports and the day-to-day accounting duties for certain corporate entities. The position requires an understanding of, an interest in, and willingness to learn all aspects of financial reporting and accounting. Critical & Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Prepare consolidated monthly rollforwards of fixed assets, debt, and others
  • Prepare and compile support for internal and external audit as needed
  • Understand and comply with controls and processes in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley and departmental policies and procedures
  • Prepare schedules used in disclosures and tie out support in a way that can be efficiently followed
  • Assist with the implementation of new or modifications of existing policies and procedures to make the financial reporting/consolidation process more effective, streamlined and efficient, and to conform to changes in accounting guidance
  • Maintain current knowledge of SEC and financial accounting rules and regulations
  • Work collaboratively with others within and outside of his or her function to achieve goals, simplify processes, and to ensure that work is completed accurately and timely
  • Assist with SEC filing administration and reviewing XBRL tagging

Education/Experience/Abilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
  • Active CPA license preferred; CPA eligible required
  • Minimum 2-3 years related professional experience required
  • Public accounting and/or financial reporting role experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of either tying out or drafting Form 10-Q/K reports preferred
  • Working knowledge of XBRL is a plus, but not required
