Temporary Housekeeping Supervisor | Toronto, Ontario

We are seeking a temporary Housekeeper Supervisor who will work directly with the Maintenance Manager, and assist with the supervision of the housekeeping staff as well as clean designated areas. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supervising the housekeeping staff and holding regular staff meetings; monitoring building cleanliness, safety, and staff compliance to rules/regulations; vacuum carpet areas including resident rooms; mop and clean tile areas including resident rooms; empty trash in designated areas; change linens in resident rooms; clean bathrooms including tub, shower, and toilet areas; and report any needed repairs to maintenance. This is a temporary position that will last the duration of the hotel/conference stays (May thru August 2018).

To be successful in this position, you should have:

  • A minimum of three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent
  • Supervisory experience
  • Knowledge and understating of MSDS rules for the handling and use of any chemicals
  • The ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively with customers and employees
  • The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pound
