Individual Leases
What is an individual lease?
An individual lease provides each resident with their own separate lease agreement and responsibility for only his/her monthly rent installment and applicable utility and parking charges. By signing an individual lease, you are only taking responsibility for your rent installment and lease terms and will not be held liable for any delinquent amounts owed by your roommate(s).
On-Site Staffing
Is after hours staffing and maintenance available?
Yes, after hours University of Toledo's Resident Assistants live on site and after hours maintenance will be available in the case of a maintenance emergency.
Is there professional management and maintenance staff?
We're always on duty. Our community is staffed 24/7 with professional staff. Our property's staff is experienced and skilled in addressing all of your needs. Our local management team is supported by leasing, business, and maintenance personnel along with our student staff.
Insurance Requirements
Is insurance coverage for my belongings included as part of my Lease Agreement?
Coverage for your personal belongings is not included as part of your Lease Agreement. Renters insurance can provide coverage for loss or damage to your personal belongings (including fire, theft, or natural causes). Renters insurance is not required but highly recommended.
Roommate Matching & Requests
Can I live with my friends?
You may request roommates by listing them on the Resident Profile Form, which is sent in your licensing packet. Whenever possible, a mutual rommate request will be honored. Requests must come from both students in writing and we suggest submitting your applications and deposits together. We only offer same-gender room assignments.
What is Roommate matching and how does it work?
Roommate matching is the process by which roommates are matched together using roommate profiles. You can utilize our roommate matching service to find one or more roommates, or you can bring all of your own roommates.
Application Process
How can I apply?
UToledo students will follow these steps when applying for housing (since the application is through the student portal and not through our website):
1. Log in to your myUT portal
2. Click on the "Student Tab"
3. Navigate to the "My Housing" section
4. Click on "University Housing Application"
5. Select the "Fall 2023" term
6. From there, you will be taken to the housing application page and will be able to complete your application. Be sure to utilize your Rockets email address and record your login information for future reference!
Living Learning & Special Interest Communities
How can I apply for a Living Learning Community or Special Interest Community?
-Living Learning and Special Interest Communities are on-campus, housing-based communities of students living together in the same residence hall who share similar academic or special interests. These communities extend learning outside of the classroom and promote intellectual, social and personal growth.
