The Village on Sixth Avenue College Scholarship Giveaway (the “Sweepstakes”)
No purchase necessary to win. A purchase will not increase your chance of winning.
The Sweepstakes is open to all United States residents (including District of Columbia) who are at least 18 years old and a student currently enrolled at Marshall University for the 2018-2019 academic year as of date of entry. Officers, directors, and employees of Courtyard by Pyramid Properties, LLC and its parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and related entities (“Sponsor”), as well as immediate family members or those living in the same household of each such person are not eligible to participate. By entering, you agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law.
2. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD
The Sweepstakes begins at 9:00 AM CST on March 2nd, 2018 and ends May 5th, 2018 at 9:00 PM CST (the “Sweepstakes Period”). There will be a Prize Drawing held on May 5th, 2018.
ONLY ONE (1) ENTRY PER PERSON, HOUSEHOLD AND E-MAIL ADDRESS IS PERMITTED.
There are two (2) ways to enter:
(i) PROPERTY TOUR AND GUEST CARD: To enter, you must complete the required portions of the guest card form and take a tour of The Village on Sixth Avenue located at 2101 Sixth Avenue, Huntington, WV 25703 by the end of the Sweepstakes Period.
(ii) MAIL-IN: To enter, send a postcard or card with your name, mailing address, telephone number, and e-mail address with proper postage to Austin College Scholarship Giveaway, 12700 Hill Country Boulevard, Suite T-200, Austin, TX 78738. All mail-in entries must be received by Sponsor by the end of the Sweepstakes Period.
No responsibility is assumed for illegible, lost, late, damaged, incomplete, unintelligible, non-delivered, misdirected, postage due, or stolen mail, e-mail, or prize redemption forms; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, satellite, Internet Service Provider (ISP), Web site, telephone, or other connections, availability or accessibility; or for miscommunications, failed computer, telephone, satellite, or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure; or for jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions, computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; or for any other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical, electronic or network; or for the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry or other information, or the failure to capture, or loss of, any such information.
The winner of the drawing will be selected by a random drawing from all eligible entries received within the Sweepstakes Period. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Grand Prize: One Grand Prize winner will be awarded up to a maximum of $8,000 to be applied toward college tuition at Marshall University. Tuition does not include administrative fees, books, room and board, or any other fees beyond the tuition amount. Winner must present tuition billing statements in order to receive prize.
Odds of winning in any drawing depend on the number of eligible entries received. No assignment, transfer or substitution of prize is permitted. Federal, State and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners.
6. GENERAL CONDITIONS
Winner may be required to execute and return a Liability Release, W-9, an Affidavit of Eligibility, and where lawful, a Publicity Release within 15 days of notification prior to receiving their prize, except where prohibited by law. Failure to return documents within 10 days from the date of notification, the return of the notification or prize award to the Sponsor as undeliverable, if the winner is unable to prove eligibility, and/or any other non-compliance with these Official Rules will result in disqualification of the winner or participant unless prohibited by law. If the prize is not redeemed within 14 days of notification, or upon disqualification of the winner, an alternate winner will be selected, or if winner is found not to be in compliance with these Official Rules, or if prize notification or prize is returned as non-deliverable, or otherwise ineligible, selected entrants may be disqualified and alternate winners selected. Judges decisions are final on all matters relating to the promotion.
Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes; to be in violation of the Terms of Service of the web site, to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
By entering this Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees (i) to be bound by the Official Rules and Sponsor's decision; (i) that the submission and the entry becomes the Sponsor's property and will not be returned; (iii) Sponsor, its officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives are not responsible for claims, injuries, losses, damages of any kind resulting from Sweepstakes participation or the acceptance, use, misuse, possession, loss or misdirection of any prize; (iv) that the entry into the Sweepstakes constitutes a grant of an unconditional right to use the name, address, voice, likeness, portrait, prize information, and/or statements about the promotion for any publicity, advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, accept where prohibited by law; (v) to provide proof of eligibility and identity upon request; and (vi) that there will be no cash redemption value for the prizes except as otherwise provided herein.
7. WINNERS LIST
A listing of the winner will be supplied by mail, on request and without charge through November 5th, 2018.
