American Campus Communities’ 3rd & West Earns NAHB Best in American Living™ Silver Award Honors
AUSTIN, Texas — Jan. 12, 2026 — American Campus Communities (ACC), the nation’s largest owner, developer and manager of high-quality student housing, today announced that 3rd & West (Purdue University, Discovery Park District) has received silver award honors in the 2025 Best in American Living™ Awards (BALA), presented by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), in Category 28: Best Multifamily Student Housing.
The Best in American Living™ Awards recognize creative and innovative residential projects and honor excellence across design, development and community experience.
3rd & West was delivered through a public-private partnership with Purdue Research Foundation (PRF) to expand high-quality, student-centered housing in Purdue’s Discovery Park District. The community reflects a shared commitment to supporting student success through thoughtfully designed living environments and amenities that foster connection, well-being and a meaningful on-campus experience.
